About the role
Techno is looking for a detail-oriented Document Control Specialist to join a high-profile, transformative transportation infrastructure program in the Northeast Corridor. You will play a crucial role in ensuring project documentation is accurate, organized, and accessible, supporting engineers, project managers, and contractors in delivering one of the most ambitious civil infrastructure projects in the country. What you'll do
- Manage, organize, and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and correspondence.
- Maintain and update the document management system, ensuring all documents are properly logged, version-controlled, and accessible to the project team.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure timely submission, review, and distribution of documents.
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports on document status, submittal tracking, and compliance with project requirements.
- Ensure document compliance with internal standards, contract specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Support quality assurance and audit activities by maintaining organized, accurate, and complete records.
- Assist in training team members on document control procedures and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- 3–7 years of experience in document control or project support on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of document management systems (DMS) and electronic workflow tools; experience with Procore, Aconex, or ProjectWise is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work under deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with construction documentation processes, RFI/submittal workflows, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced construction environments preferred.

The expected salary range for this role in the New York City Metropolitan Area is $65,000 - $95,000 per year. The total compensation, including salary and bonuses, is determined by various factors such as experience, skill level, location, and qualifications, which are evaluated during the interview process
