  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office is required.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act is required.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards, is required.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and other federal, state, and local standards, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Retrieve medical records through various systems.
  • Submit medical records through hardcopy submission.
  • Open and scan correspondence received and route it to leadership for distribution.
  • Respond to emails and telephone messages in a timely manner as appropriate.
  • Communicate issues to management, including address, system, or escalated account issues.
  • Participate in and attend meetings as requested.
  • Support client and internal processes.
  • Maintain and respect the confidentiality of patient information in accordance with insurance collection guidelines and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Support the Savista Compliance Program by adhering to policies and procedures pertaining to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other laws applicable to Savista business practices.
  • Become familiar with the Savista Code of Ethics, attend required training, notify management or the Savista Helpline when there is a compliance concern or incident, handle patient information in a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act-compliant manner, and demonstrate awareness of confidentiality obligations.
