- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation.
- Alternatively, master's in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation.
- Experience in development languages, including Java, C#, C++, Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript;
- Experience building and deploying modern services and web applications with quality and scalability;
- Experience collaborating with Product, Test, Dev-ops, and Agile or Scrum teams to design, develop, and deliver software features while ensuring alignment on requirements, quality testing, deployment processes, and overall project goals within an agile framework;
- Experience utilizing React library to build intuitive and responsive user interfaces for web applications;
- Experience configuring and integrating with Retrieval-Augmented Generation system to improve information retrieval and response accuracy within applications;
- Experience as an expert in cloud computing and developing applications with serverless architecture.
- Design code and systems that touch 40% of the world population while influencing Visa’s internal standards for scalability, security, and reusability.
- Collaborate multi-functionally to create design artifacts and develop best-in-class software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings.
- Actively contribute to product quality improvements, valuable service technology, and new business flows in diverse agile squads.
- Develop robust and scalable products intended for a myriad of customers including end-user merchants, b2b, and business to government solutions.
- Leverage innovative technologies to build the next generation of Payment Services, Transaction Platforms, Real-Time Payments, and Buy Now Pay Later Technology.
- Support relationship with product owners to gather and refine requirements for one product task, adding and taking into account existing tools and solutions within a product.
- Develop and design architect solutions, considering integrations with other solutions.
- Provide relevant knowledge on the development of user documentation of solutions and follow standard processes in user documentation.
- Play a minor role in the development and delivery of new features within a product.
- Identify and advance bugs that threaten website functionality.
- Position reports to the Bellevue, Washington office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
