Requirements
  • At least 12 years of software engineering experience with a clear track record of technical ownership on production systems.
  • Hands-on experience building and operating large language model-powered systems in production, including designing quality and evaluation frameworks for probabilistic or generative outputs.
  • Strong understanding of human-in-the-loop system design, including approval workflows, review interfaces, audit logging, and guardrail implementation.
  • Deep understanding of how agents interact with content systems, publishing pipelines, and web infrastructure, including content management systems, deployment pipelines, and edge delivery.
  • Ability to work directly with non-engineering stakeholders to translate workflow requirements into agent architecture.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and elevating technical execution across a team.
Responsibilities
  • Own the architecture and delivery of agentic workflows that enable marketing to self-serve content creation and publishing across blogs, landing pages, microsites, and social, working directly with marketing stakeholders to understand workflows, define quality criteria, and build trusted tools.
  • Partner with the Web Platform Staff Engineer on content management system architecture so the content model supports agent read and write workflows and agent-generated content is structured for artificial-intelligence-driven discovery at production scale.
  • Build and own the agent reliability system for the domain by defining output quality criteria per workflow, implementing evaluation suites and behavioral regression testing, and building feedback loops that improve agent output based on marketer approvals, edits, and rejections.
  • Architect human-in-the-loop review as a system property across the full publishing pipeline, including proposal and commit separation, diff-based review interfaces, approval routing, notification systems, and audit logging governing autonomous publication and required human judgment.
  • Encode brand, legal, and compliance constraints as enforceable guardrails within agent workflows so agents operate within defined boundaries without human intervention on every decision.
  • Partner with the Web Products Staff Engineer to ensure agent-generated content meets surface quality and brand standards across databricks.com.
  • Mentor and grow the Senior Engineer on the team while setting the standard for production-grade agentic engineering.

Coatue leads $3B Databricks investment at $134B valuation

Coatue Management is reportedly leading a $3 billion investment in Databricks, according to recent reports. The data analytics company previously raised roughly $5 billion earlier in 2026 at a $134 billion valuation. Databricks sells a lakehouse platform combining data lake and data warehouse capabilities and has expanded into AI software for enterprise applications. The company reported $5.4 billion in revenue run rate in February, up over 65% year on year, which grew to $6.9 billion by June. The earlier financing round included $2 billion in debt capacity intended to fund AI products, acquisitions and employee liquidity. At its current valuation, Databricks exceeds Snowflake's market capitalisation of approximately $83 billion. Management has indicated the company may remain private until market conditions improve.
