Requirements
  • At least 5 years of related experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or Tester.
  • Software Quality Assurance experience on Telecom Business Support Systems/Operations Support Systems development projects.
  • Telecom ordering, billing, or customer care experience.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications data.
  • Experience with data conversion and migration.
  • Expertise in test planning, coordinated test execution, defect tracking, and defect resolution.
  • Experience with HP Application Lifecycle Management/Quality Center and other leading test tools.
  • Hands-on Structured Query Language (SQL) experience.
  • Experience with telecom order management, including product catalogs and USOCs.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management systems, including Sterling, Salesforce, or Dynamics.
  • Experience with telecom billing processes, including bill engines, rating, discounts, promotions, credit control, invoicing, bill cycles, and mediation.
  • Experience with Quality Center/Application Lifecycle Management.
  • Experience with AS/400.
  • Experience with U-Verse.
  • Experience with Mediaroom.
  • Set-top box testing experience.
  • Experience with M6.
  • Experience with network inventory.
  • Visa eligibility limited to green card holders, U.S. citizens, or Optional Practical Training candidates; H-1B candidates must be on the employer's payroll.
  • Local availability in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex.
Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, and execute tests for complex systems and equipment.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to identify the impacts of test requirements and improve the quality of final deliverables.
  • Partner with business and technical groups to anticipate testing effects and resolve critical issues promptly.
  • Provide specialized technical advice and direction within the area of expertise.
  • Contribute to continual team process improvement.
  • Provide industry knowledge for test strategy development, test research and development activities, and technical support when applicable.
  • Automate manual test cases and scenarios efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain, support, and execute automated test scenarios for major, minor, and ad hoc releases.
  • Identify, document, and manage defects using a defect tracking system such as Quality Center or Dimensions.
  • Collaborate with fix agents as required and assist in reproducing issues to expedite defect resolution.
