  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related Engineering field required
  • Master’s in computer science preferred
  • Minimum 2+ years experience
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • Familiarity with data preprocessing techniques and tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity, and an ability to create in an undefined, unestablished environment
  • Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry
  • Must be highly collaborative and comfortable working with people in a matrixed environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Remote with Ability to travel (domestic and international) (25%) required
  • Requires occasional early morning or evening teleconference
Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement ML Models: Design and deploy machine learning algorithms and models to analyze and interpret complex medical data, contributing to the advancement of our medical devices.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and clinical experts to integrate machine learning solutions into existing and new medical device platforms.
  • Data Preprocessing and Analysis: Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various sources to ensure the accuracy and quality required for training robust machine learning models.
  • Performance Optimization: Enhance the performance of machine learning models by tuning hyperparameters, selecting appropriate algorithms, and employing techniques to prevent overfitting.
  • Stay Updated with Industry Trends: Keep abreast of the latest developments in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and the medical device industry to ensure our solutions remain at the forefront of technological innovation.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all machine learning models and processes comply with relevant medical regulations and standards. Maintain thorough documentation for model development, validation, and deployment processes.
