Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Experience or training in ISO 9001:2008 or AS9100/9120 is required.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, Lean training, and computer experience are required.
Responsibilities
  • Investigate, document, report, review, and process customer returns.
  • Investigate, document, report, and review vendor returns, including Return Purchase Orders.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System.
  • Maintain and calibrate measuring and test equipment.
  • Participate in branch management Quality Management System reviews.
  • Conduct internal Quality Management System audits.
  • Participate in customer-led audits and visits.
  • Conduct root-cause investigations and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide internal and external technical assistance.
  • Assist with continual-improvement projects as the branch Lean focal point.
  • Ensure audits are completed and scores are posted on the intranet in a timely manner.
  • Ensure meetings take place and last no more than 10 minutes.
  • Identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist the Regional Lean Focal with preparation for workshops and improvement events.
  • Maintain visual boards, pictures, audit history, newsletters, and the Shared Vision Board for corporate and local areas.
Desired Qualifications
  • ASQ certification.
  • Three years of Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience.
  • Lean training, Safety/OSHA training, and metal experience or training.
