The Information Technology Intern students will gain real-world work experience in their academic field. During the summer months, interns will engage in challenging projects evolving around the rapidly changing healthcare tech industry. Interns will be paired with industry professionals and mentors and will be given opportunities to stretch their skills and enrich their knowledge base to achieve a greater understanding within Technology. If the intern performs well throughout the internship, there will be opportunities for fulltime employment once the intern graduates.
Interns will participate in activities to enhance connection to the company as a whole and encourage personal growth. Some of these activities include:
Formal onboarding event for all students to ensure integration to the organization and program
A one-on-one mentorship with a leader for the duration of the program
Cadenced Learning series to build student’s acumen and focus on learning the business
Opportunities to grow and develop through social and networking event
What we are looking for:
Web UI Developer will serve as the communicator to the server-side team and developers collaborating to identify integration points and dependencies. Undergraduate students should have experience and education in:
Javascript , React, Angular, JQuery, HTML, CSS, Python
SQL & No-SQL Databases, Querying languages
Visual design programs such as Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
Knowledge of version control systems (Git preferred)
High level of knowledge of UI principles and patterns
Techniques optimizing applications for maximum speed
Emerging topics in artificial intelligence, intelligent systems, conversational bots, and knowledge representation and reasoning
Energetic self-starter with willingness to work hard, take on significant and multiple responsibilities, and with dedication towards excellence and achieving results.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate student in applied math, statics, scientific computing, data and analytics, business analytics, or related field
GPA of 3.0 or above
Must be available to participate in the intern program from June to August.
Advanced user of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for front end development of internal and external website applications and understanding core presentation layer requirements to recommend and implement solutions that follow best practices.
Translates comps and wireframes into semantically correct web templates.
Integrating HTML templates and client-side code with server-side applications and content management systems to create functional and aesthetically pleasing user experiences that integrate cleanly into our existing systems and adhere to our design standards.
Responsible for SIT and UAT.
Test, debug and troubleshoot web coding to ensure that code is deployable and functional.
Reduce bugs in our production environment.
Develop responsive experiences for a variety of browsers, operating systems, and screen sizes to create functional and aesthetically pleasing user experience for a variety of platforms that our users interact.
Ensure the applications comply with our UX and Enterprise brand standards.
Utilize best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
Effectively collaborates with IT counterparts to make joint decisions in the best interest of the product.
Ensure solutions are sound while adhere to budget, timelines, and quality standards.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $28.31 to $42.48/ hour.
