  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, power engineering, energy systems, or a related engineering discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in power infrastructure, utilities, generation, transmission, or hyperscale data center development is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in senior leadership roles is required.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering utility-scale or behind-the-meter power infrastructure projects is required.
  • Strong technical expertise in power systems engineering, including generation, transmission, distribution, substations, protection systems, controls, and supervisory control and data acquisition, is required.
  • Significant commercial experience negotiating infrastructure, energy, utility, and power supply contracts is required.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering and commercial teams is required.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the company's overall power strategy for multi-site hyperscale and artificial intelligence data center developments.
  • Lead the planning, development, engineering, and delivery of utility-connected and behind-the-meter power solutions.
  • Direct all utility interconnection activities, including transmission and distribution coordination, system studies, interconnection agreements, and utility negotiations.
  • Develop and implement behind-the-meter energy strategies involving natural gas generation, microgrids, renewable energy systems, battery energy storage, and hybrid power solutions.
  • Lead commercial negotiations for engineering, procurement, and construction; engineering, procurement, and construction management; original equipment manufacturer supply; long-term service agreements; power purchase agreements; fuel supply contracts; utility agreements; and major equipment procurement.
  • Oversee electrical engineering activities related to substations, transmission systems, protection schemes, controls, supervisory control and data acquisition systems, and overall power infrastructure design.
  • Review and approve engineering deliverables for reliability, scalability, maintainability, cost optimization, and schedule compliance.
  • Establish technical standards, design criteria, engineering governance processes, and quality requirements across all projects.
  • Develop procurement strategies for long-lead electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, generators, and high-voltage infrastructure.
  • Provide executive oversight throughout project development, construction, commissioning, energization, and commercial operation.
  • Act as executive technical lead during customer engagements and technical due diligence activities for hyperscale and artificial intelligence customers.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with utilities, independent system operators, regional transmission organizations, regulators, engineering, procurement, and construction contractors, original equipment manufacturers, consultants, government agencies, and key customer stakeholders.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of power purchase agreement frameworks for behind-the-meter power solutions.
  • Support project financing activities through technical due diligence, lender presentations, cost reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing multidisciplinary energy, engineering, and commercial organization.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical, utility, environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, resilience, innovation, and project execution.
  • Provide leadership team oversight and strategic direction for energy infrastructure initiatives throughout North America.
