Logistics Analyst

Position Description

Serco is seeking a Logistics Analyst for their MILSACOM contract supporting NUWCDIVNPT in Middletown, RI.  You will be part of a small team supporting Code 34 from NUWC.  You will be working with other Serco employees and government employees from NUWC.  You will be support shipping and receiving of purchased parts, etc., and also provide configuration management to maintain accurate information. 

An Active or Interim Secret security clearance is required.

In this role, you will: 

• The Logistics Analyst  (Shipping and Receiving) will inspect purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials for conformance to specifications, examine items for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit, compare quantity and part number of items received with procurement data and other specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of order.
• You will approve or reject items, and record inspection and disposition information for documentation in PDREP (Product Data Reporting and Evaluation Program). 
• You will read labels, tags, identification plates, and stenciled markings to ensure that items, such as serial and part numbers correspond with Invoice and Shipping Document (DD-1149) to determine if correct parts are present; examine parts to ensure that they are securely mounted and/or packaged to prevent damage.
• A working knowledge of MS Office products is required
• An active or interim security clearance is required.
• Excellent organization skills and detail oriented is required

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

• Associate’s degree and 2years of logistics experience.

  • Or a High School Diploma/GED with minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.
• An Active or Interim Secret security clearance is required.
• Willing to learn how to use electric pallet jack.
• Willing to learn how to use fork lift.
• Minor physical work is required at times
• Knowledge of MSOffice computer applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
