Requirements
  • It is preferred that the candidate has a Master’s degree in an appropriate discipline. However, a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree and professional surveying field work experiences will be considered as well.
  • May require the ability to work in an outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
  • Applications must be submitted electronically and include: A letter of application and curriculum vitae/resume that includes three professional references.

  • The instructor should be proficient with the analysis and calculations with calculators, basic software, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Responsibilities
  • Teach Forest Surveying (FORT 140) course for Spring 2025.
  • Deliver instruction that includes surveying measurements in the field covering distance, directions, slopes, and traverses.
  • Structure the course with approximately half indoor time (lecture, analysis practice, and field work analysis) and half field laboratories.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in an appropriate discipline is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree with professional surveying field work experience will be considered as alternative
