About the role: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mobile QA Tester to join our team, specializing in mobile notifications application testing. The ideal candidate will have built frameworks from 0 to 1 and have a strong understanding of mobile platforms, both iOS and Android, possessing a keen eye for identifying bugs and usability issues. You will work closely with our development and product teams to ensure the highest quality standards are met before releasing our mobile applications to users.

A bit about the work: 

• Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on requirements and specifications.

• Handle complexities with push notifications, managing 200+ types of notifications going out to users at any given time.

• Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, and usability testing on mobile applications.

• Identify, document, and track bugs using a bug-tracking system.

• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to understand new features and functionalities.

• Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Report test results to stakeholders and provide recommendations for improvement.

• Suggest and implement improvements to the testing process and QA methodologies.

A bit about you: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• 6+ years of experience in manual testing and automation testing, preferably notifications, in a mobile environment, iOS and Android

• Experience with Golang with a focus on push notification testing 

• Understanding of automated testing tools and frameworks that work cross-platform with iOS, Android, and Web and notifications

• Experience with using API testing tools such as Charles or Postman

• Proficiency in using mobile testing tools and simulators/emulators

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)

• Experience with Analytics testing such as MixPanel, Segment, etc.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Location:

We have offices located in Sunnyvale, CA, San Francisco, CA and Brooklyn, NY. While we have a strong focus on individuals near our office hubs, we offer fully remote and hybrid employment opportunities.

Pay Equity: 

In compliance with Pay Transparency Laws, the base salary range for this role is between $110,000 to $150,000. When determining compensation, a number of factors will be considered, including skills, experience, job scope, location, and competitive compensation market data.
