Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
  • Min 3 years of experience in machinery design would be desirable
  • Experience in new product development and commercialization
  • High level of technical competency in the fundamentals of mechanical engineering design and analysis
  • Following is essential: hands on experience in assembly of high pressure machines, pressure vessels, hydraulic equipment, instrumentation ( pressure, flow, rpm, vibration monitoring), data acquisition (e.g. Labview)
  • Demonstrated skills utilizing CAD modeling (Solidworks, AutoCAD)
  • Familiarity with motor controls ( VFD )
  • Experience in testing of rotating machines, rotor-dynamics and bearing systems is desired
  • Knowledge of analysis tools (ANSYS, Fluent, CFX etc.) including recent work experience would be beneficial
  • Must possess a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and be goal oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Position requires up to 10% international travel
Responsibilities
  • Mechanical design and basic analysis of equipment, subassemblies and individual components, and ensuring design compliance with applicable standards, ASME, API, NACE
  • Design of test plans for field testing in accordance with the intended application
  • Solid understanding of test equipment plan, coordinate and perform tests on equipment and mechanical systems such as pumps, turbochargers and pressure exchangers' skids
  • Supervision of technicians in the assembly, instrumentation, testing and data acquisition
  • Verification of engineering drawings, tolerance stack up, machinability, assembly risks
  • Tracking of parts development and fabrication through products life cycle (raw material specs, procurement timelines, supporting hardware, dependencies of following tasks and schedules)
  • Compiling, analysis and interpretation of test data and results, and recommendation of modification to improve performance
  • Hardware and components specification
  • Coordination with R&D throughout project cycle to develop specifications, validate system performance, and commission products in field
  • All other projects and duties as assigned
