Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited urology residency program.
  • Board eligibility or board certification in Urology.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure.
  • DEA registration or eligibility.
  • Expertise in medical and surgical urology.
  • Strong diagnostic and procedural skills.
  • Ability to manage complex and chronic urologic conditions.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during procedures and surgeries.
  • Manual dexterity for surgical and endoscopic techniques.
  • Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for patient assessment and operative care.
  • Must maintain state certification and/or licensure.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and manage patients with urologic conditions affecting the kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate, and male reproductive organs.
  • Diagnose and treat urinary tract obstruction, kidney stones, benign prostatic hyperplasia, urinary incontinence, infections, and urologic malignancies.
  • Perform urologic surgical and minimally invasive procedures consistent with training and privileges.
  • Provide medical management and follow-up care for acute and chronic urologic conditions.
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic studies including cystoscopy, urodynamic testing, and imaging as applicable.
  • Provide inpatient consultation services and outpatient clinic care.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers, oncology, nephrology, radiology, and other specialists.
  • Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and outcomes initiatives.
  • Supervise and educate residents, fellows, advanced practice providers, or clinical staff as applicable.
  • Comply with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards.
