Requirements
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Solid understanding of measuring, inspection, and test equipment.
  • One to three years of quality control experience.
  • A minimum of two to five years of inspection and/or production experience in the metals fabrication industry.
  • Experience with visual weld and welding inspection.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel.
  • Strong working knowledge of mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus, with minimum required visual acuity of 20/20 corrected or uncorrected.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and fabrication drawings.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain inspection reports.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, company standards, and specifications.
  • Maintain calibration of quality-control equipment.
  • Perform inspections across all stages of production.
  • Prepare and maintain test data for review.
  • Evaluate data and draft reports, noting relevant deviations from existing standards.
  • Identify areas for quality-control improvement and implement new methods accordingly.
  • Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the QA Manager.
