- Compounding and dispensing drugs and medicines prescribed by physicians or other authorized medical personnel.
- Comply with all local, state and federal accrediting rules and regulations regarding the practice of pharmacy.
- Make substitutions of comparable drugs for drugs with trade names, as appropriate.
- Manufacture pharmaceutical preparations as needed.
- Prepare solutions and sterile vehicles.
- Respond to inquiries concerning drug contents, dosages, regimen reviews, storage and disposal.
- Monitor drug therapies for drug interactions, allergies and contraindications.
- Monitor stocks of drugs and chemicals.
- Inventory drugs, medications and supplies as required.
- Maintain supplies and the security of drugs.
- Provide consultations on the use and care of prescription drugs and medicines with patients.
- Maintain records and prepare reports on all narcotics dispensed.
- Provide technical assistance to providers of healthcare in a variety of settings.
- Assist in the training of new Pharmacists.
- Oversee the work of Pharmacist.
- Maintain records and prepare reports and correspondence related to the work.
- Completes all necessary managerial tasks for direct reports including hiring, training, addressing performance issues, developing team goals and objectives, performance reviews, conflict resolution, and strategic planning.
- Efficiency in CPR +/Care Tend is desired
