Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Four to six or more years of progressive experience in corporate finance, accounting, or retail finance.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and revenue recognition principles.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end consignment accounting process, including revenue recognition, inventory accounting, and vendor settlements, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, International Financial Reporting Standards, and company policies.
  • Analyze consignment inventory performance, variances, and margin trends, delivering actionable insights to Finance and Merchandising leadership.
  • Drive month-end close activities for consignment accounts, ensuring timely and accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Vendor Management teams to ensure alignment on inventory flows, contract terms, and financial impacts.
  • Build and maintain financial models to track consignment profitability, inventory turns, and vendor performance.
  • Evaluate and strengthen internal controls around consignment processes, minimizing risk and ensuring audit readiness.
  • Create reporting dashboards and executive summaries that translate complex financial data into clear business insights for decision-makers.
  • Improve systems and processes by identifying automation opportunities and implementing scalable solutions within enterprise resource planning and reporting tools.
  • Support external and internal audits by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and ensuring transparency of consignment accounting practices.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement within the corporate finance team.
Desired Qualifications
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification.
  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, or consignment-based business models.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
  • Experience driving process improvements or automation initiatives.
  • Exposure to Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and internal control frameworks.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive business outcomes.
