Requirements
- The candidate must be licensed in the State of Illinois to practice law.
- Additional licensing in South Carolina, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, New York, Nevada, Nebraska, Idaho, California, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Hawaii, or North Carolina is welcomed.
- The candidate must be comfortable appearing in court and able to appear on time consistently using their own method of transportation.
- The candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to multitask in a high-volume caseload.
- The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
- Draft and review summonses and complaints, judgments, settlement agreements, discovery, and other related documentation.
- Draft, review, and file necessary litigation motions and responses during the course of litigation.
- Communicate with attorneys, employers, and consumers as necessary to resolve accounts and lawsuits.
- Review new and ongoing lawsuits, legal pleadings, and documents.
- Review court calls where an associate will not appear and appropriately request coverage, attaching all necessary documents for the attorney’s appearance and any orders required for the requested coverage results.
- Appear in court as required.
- Travel as required for the role.
