The Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Operations Specialist to join our team in Washington D.C.. As a Field Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for completing maintenance and handyman service orders, monitoring job progress and quality of third-party repair providers, and helping to prepare new proposals and repair estimates for new jobs. This role requires multiple years of repair or handyman experience to qualify. The ideal candidate will be motivated and driven to help support sustainable processes to ensure growth, quality, and scalability in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties:
- Complete repair orders in the field for residential homes and customers including (but not limited to) painting, fixture installations, minor electrical work, debris removal, minor plumbing repairs, etc.
- On-site reviews and monitoring of repair quality and progress of our third-party repair partners
- Assist in the preparation of new job estimates
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with company standards
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient completion of jobs
- Troubleshoot and solve complex problems related to jobs and repair orders
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients
- 100% In-field Position
What you Bring to the Table:
- 3 to 4 years of repair/maintenance/handyman experience is required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform repairs on-site at residential properties on a day-to-day basis
- Partner with market managers to schedule jobs strategically to achieve maximum efficiency
- Ability to perform quality control and oversight during the jobs, and upon completion
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- General residential construction knowledge
- Comfortable working on ladders/roofs and in crawl spaces
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including the ability to work both indoors and outdoors, and the ability to spend considerable time standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, and squatting, and ability to traverse all types of terrain
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
