Overview

At LegalZoom, we simply do not believe that it should cost thousands of dollars to create a will, form a business, or apply for a trademark. So, we started a movement to make legal help available to all.

As our Compliance Specialist, you will help ensure our processes comply with the regulatory standards of the various government agencies (Secretaries of State, USPS, etc.)  that we work with. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring we remain compliant with current and new rules and regulations required for us to successfully run our org.

You will

●Develop understanding of compliance requirements across operations teams.

●Work with leadership to design a world class compliance program which incorporates relevant rules and regulations.

●Create and monitor control systems to ensure operations remain compliant.

●Proactively research compliance changes and develop implementation strategies.

●Assist with training of new employees.

●Manage and maintain records of compliance success and failures.

●Create a training plan to eliminate all compliance failures.

●Assist in the creation of any new operational procedures and measurements as needed.

●Request and utilize reporting tools while developing ongoing reports to monitor (Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), achieve financial and operational objectives, track productivity and quality, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

●Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual planning and goal setting process.

●Work with our Quality specialist to develop an auditing program as well as process improvement initiatives.

You have

●3+ years previous compliance experience.

●Require certified compliance professional.

●BS or BA or equivalent experience.

●Proven proficiency with, and the ability to rapidly navigate between the following applications and systems: Windows & Mac OS, Internet search engines, including but not limited to Google and Yahoo; Microsoft Office, including strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project.

●Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and with partners.

●Proven experience with planning, organizing, and executing plans in a timely manner.

●Experience working in a fast-paced environment and meeting aggressive deadlines.

●Strong oral and communication skills are crucial, specifically the ability to effectively communicate the exchange of information and ideas in ways that promote mutual understanding and effective decision-making.

●Ability to respond readily to changes in the industry, environment, or organization and take constructive steps to address them.

●Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently.

●        Remote Employees should confirm that the internet service available has adequate bandwidth     to support all work processes.

●Demonstrated ability to evaluate, communicate and document processes and methods

●Must have a flexible schedule, including availability on evenings and weekends as needed.

LegalZoom is a remote-first company and the national range for this role is ($59,900 - $95,100). Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
