Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED, some vocational or technical training preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of directly related experience, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of & experience working within an ISO 9001 / AS9100 Quality Management System
  • Strong mechanical background desirable, with experience working within a manufacturing and assembly environment.
  • Proficient with the use of various measurement devices such as micrometers, calipers, height gage and coordinate measuring machine
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical skills and Statistical Process Control methods to assist with the inspection process.
  • Proficiency using MS Word and Excel
  • Experience with Government project work highly desired.
Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret component drawings, material specifications, process specifications and work instructions.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections on incoming products and internally manufactured products.
  • Record inspection and test data / prepare documentation records for manufactured products.
  • Maintain inspection, production and lot traceability records.
  • Evaluate inspections, test data, documentation and report deviations from existing standards using the nonconformance reporting system.
  • Maintain tool and equipment calibration control process.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving activities.
  • Develop/Write Inspection Plans or Inspection Work Instructions
