CAD Designer, Design Engineering

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design 3D CAD models and 2D drawings of wire harnesses, flexible printed circuits, and battery pack interconnects using CAD best practices and processes. 
• Incorporate design guidelines, and DFM feedback to ensure parts are manufacturable and meet functional requirements.
• Assist with the creation and release of engineering components and assembly drawings.
• Assist with 2D geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Perform CAD data transfer to internal stakeholders.

Educational Requirements

• Associate's degree or higher in Engineering, CAD design, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in CAD design of electrical and/or automotive components (SolidWorks preferred).
• Experience managing large 3D files (component and assembly).
• Independent problem solver with a desire to learn new skills and new technology.
• Strong organization skills and detail-oriented mindset.
• Able to adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced start-up setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
