  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, systems engineering, engineering management or a relevant field
  • 4+ years of experience in body mechanical areas and relevant automotive assignments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Expert in CATIA V5, including the ability to make 3D parametric models and 2D drawings
  • Strong technical skills and expertise to problem-solving
  • Ability to lead simultaneous engineering teams
  • Good knowledge of MS Office products
  • Familiarity with computer-aided engineering (CAE) or direct experience in this field
  • The ability to build strong working relationships with individuals at all organizational levels.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the ladderframe-structure of all new products, covering from clean sheet of paper through virtual development, testing/sign-off and manufacturing launch for all Scout all-electric pick-up and rugged SUVs
  • Creating the CAD-Data of the ladderframe structure
  • Optimize the CAD-Data with respect to cost, functionality, weight, and manufacturability
  • Working together with suppliers and engineering service providers
  • Develop CAD data for virtual and physical verification testing, including field testing
  • Ensure designs conform to safety standards and U.S. government regulations
  • Proactively stay attuned to consumer experience and propose system improvements accordingly
  • Manage resources efficiently including infrastructure, financial, supplier partners and people.
