Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Information Systems or other related field.
  • Minimum of five years progressive experience in a related clinical setting.
  • Highly effective communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency with complex information systems and information systems networking abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to train and influence others in a collaborative manner, attention to detail and follow through of all assignments.
  • Demonstrated analytical, creative thinking and problem solving skills.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee overall management, staff development and systems analysis related to Perioperative Systems Support including Surgery Scheduling and Perioperative Information Systems (ORMIS).
  • Serve as the principal resource for Perioperative Information Systems and accountable for success of system implementations, integration, process improvements, and benefits realization; act as key point of user contact and oversee initial and ongoing staff training and education.
  • Prepare analytical reports and make recommendations to hospital leadership.
  • Manage Surgery Scheduling and ensure efficient and operationally effective flow of scheduling activities utilizing the Perioperative Information Systems.
  • Collaborate with Perioperative Services Team to ensure case readiness and charge capture, coordination of scheduling procedures, maintenance of surgical records, order entry functions and staff orientation/training.
  • Support fiscal and quality care goals and outcomes for the department.
  • Fulfilling AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center mission and core values; support strategic plan and performance improvement initiatives.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Healthcare, Information Systems or related field preferred.
  • Experience as a licensed healthcare practitioner in an Operating Room setting preferred.
  • Current licensure as California Registered Nurse preferred.
