Requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to safely lift and transfer 250+ pounds using a stretcher or stair chair in a team setting.
  • Safe driving practices with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
  • Valid Class 4F driver's license and current Class 5F license.
  • Child Abuse Registry Check issued within the past 60 days.
  • Adult Abuse Registry Check issued within the past 60 days.
  • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search issued within the past 60 days.
  • Standard First Aid with CPR (BLS) issued within the past 60 days.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with a partner to provide customer service to patients.
  • Transfer stable patients between medical facilities.
  • Take patients home after a medical stay.
  • Liaise with medical professionals.
  • Document patient information and all relevant information related to the transport.
  • Engage with patients throughout the transfer.
  • Monitor patients and respond to their needs.
  • Communicate with dispatch.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
