  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in aeronautical, electronics, computer science, general engineering, or a closely related field, with at least 6 years of experience installing/repairing troubleshooting and configuring Tactical Communications Systems
  • Or an Associates degree from an accredited college or university in aeronautical, electronics, computer science, general engineering, or a closely related field, with at least 10 years of experience installing/repairing troubleshooting and configuring Tactical Communications Systems
  • Or a High school diploma/GED, at least 14 years of experience installing/repairing troubleshooting and configuring Tactical Communications Systems
  • At least 1 year of experience with Handheld GPS Systems
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 40% of time throughout the United States and occasionally overseas
  • Must have a valid U.S. passport through 2028 or longer, or are willing to obtain one within 90 days after your start date
  • Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Responds to gaining unit requirements pertaining to hardware, maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Screens inoperable components to verify or eliminate faults.
  • Applies technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles in fault isolation, identifying malfunction cause, and restoring equipment/system operations.
  • Provides technical support to Army maintainers and operators as needed to increase maintainer and operator competency.
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests and/or evaluates major systems, components, and associated support systems.
  • Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
  • Provides support for engineering staff conducting systems requirements analyses and provides design team input and forkful analysis for project engineering related tasks.
  • Supports systems integration efforts, configuration management, quality assurance testing or acquisition and resource management.
