Requirements
  • 5–8+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, ideally within high-growth tech companies, media tech, or startups scaling engineering teams.
  • A strong track record of hiring senior engineers, data scientists, ML practitioners, and technical product managers in competitive markets.
  • Exceptional technical sourcing skills — fluent in GitHub, LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean, and non-traditional sourcing strategies for hard-to-find profiles.
  • Enough technical literacy to have credible conversations with engineers about their work, assess role-fit signals, and evaluate candidate quality beyond a resume.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, fast-changing priorities, and leaders who think big and move fast.
  • Strong instincts for talent, potential, and cultural alignment and not just credentials and tenure.
  • Clear communicator, strong closer, and someone who takes real pride in the caliber of the teams they help build.
  • Genuine curiosity about creator platforms, content technology, audience-scale products, and building things people actually care about.
Responsibilities
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for engineering, data science, ML, product, and technical operations roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers and technical leads to define what "great" actually looks like for each role, beyond the job spec.
  • Design and run tight, well-structured interview processes that assess both technical depth and the judgment required to thrive here.
  • Close candidates by clearly articulating the scale, ownership, and unique impact of what we're building.
  • Proactively source engineers, data scientists, and technical PMs using advanced sourcing techniques across LinkedIn, GitHub, and niche technical communities.
  • Build pipelines for roles that require both technical rigor and the ability to operate in a fast-moving, creative organization.
  • Identify talent before they're looking. Tap into open source contributors, hackathon networks, and technical communities tied to our product areas.
  • Stay current on trends in AI/ML, content tech, and digital products to credibly engage top technical candidates.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to engineering and product managers, delivering honest market feedback and competitive intelligence on technical talent.
  • Help technical leaders make confident, fast hiring decisions and bringing structure without bureaucracy.
  • Translate roadmap priorities into hiring strategies, and flag risks before they become blockers.
  • Balance speed, quality, and culture alignment as the company's technical direction continues to evolve.
  • Develop and improve technical interview frameworks, assessment approaches, and hiring rubrics as teams grow.
  • Introduce consistency and rigor without slowing down the teams you serve.
  • Use data, pattern recognition, and sound judgment to continuously raise the bar — and help others do the same.
  • Help build a recruiting function that can scale with the company's technical ambitions.

MrBeast creates digital media content on YouTube featuring large-scale challenges, giveaways, and philanthropy. Its products extend into food and consumer goods: MrBeast Burger operates as a virtual restaurant that uses partner kitchens to fulfill online orders, and a line of chocolate products. The business earns through YouTube ad revenue, brand sponsorships, merchandise sales, and profits from its food and beverage ventures. The model relies on video content to attract a global, young audience and to drive demand for its store-brand offerings and sponsorships, then monetizes across media, merchandise, and meals. The company differentiates itself by high-stakes, participatory content and a clear philanthropic angle, along with diversified revenue streams beyond advertising. The goal is to entertain a worldwide audience while funding charitable initiatives and pursuing sustainable growth across media and consumer products.

MrBeast says he works 15-hour days to build entertainment empire rivalling Disney

MrBeast, the YouTube creator with 476 million subscribers, has revealed he works 15-hour days with virtually no work-life balance. "I live to work and 100% do not have a healthy work-life balance," Jimmy Donaldson wrote on X following release of a docuseries about his schedule. Donaldson's days are "literally planned down to the minute", with operations including employing a body double to test video concepts before he steps in for final shots. The demanding schedule comes as he builds Beast Industries, an entertainment empire he hopes will rival Disney. The company is expanding its workforce by 50% this year, hiring across marketing, engineering and consumer products. Roles offer compensation between $130,000 and $160,000 plus equity, with relocation support and no college degree requirements.

MrBeast fires video editor after $4,000 insider trading scandal on Kalshi

Beast Industries, founded by YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson (MrBeast), has fired a video editor following insider trading accusations by prediction market operator Kalshi. The editor allegedly traded about $4,000 on streaming markets related to MrBeast videos with "near-perfect" success using material non-public information. Kalshi suspended the employee for two years, fined him $20,000 and notified federal regulators. Beast Industries CEO Jeff Housenbold said the company has "no tolerance for this behaviour" and initiated an independent investigation. He had previously barred trading by MrBeast employees and Beast Games contestants several months ago. The incident highlights concerns about insider trading on prediction markets, which are regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission rather than gambling authorities. Housenbold called prediction markets "ripe for abuse.

YouTubers diversify income beyond ads with $250M brands and theme parks

YouTube creators are increasingly diversifying revenue beyond ads and brand deals, building parallel businesses that can outlast platform volatility. MrBeast exemplifies this shift. Whilst his YouTube channel has 442 million subscribers, his Feastables snack brand generated $250 million in revenue and $20 million profit in 2024, outpacing his media business which lost $80 million. He's expanding into telecommunications, banking apps, and a Saudi Arabian theme park. Emma Chamberlain's coffee brand reached $20 million in revenue in 2023 and opened physical cafés in January. Logan Paul's Prime energy drink surpassed $1.2 billion in retail sales in 2023. Other creators have launched product lines: Ryan Kaji's toys generated $250 million in 2020, whilst beauty influencers Huda Kattan and Michelle Phan built successful cosmetics companies. These ventures often prove more profitable and stable than ad-dependent content creation.
