Requirements
  • A degree in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience.
  • At least three years of experience in an IT support role.
  • At least one year of experience as an IT Endpoint Computer Technician or IT Service Desk Agent in a professional IT department.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with enterprise service desk software.
  • Basic understanding of the TCP/IP protocol suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to produce timely, clear, accurate, and thorough written documentation for assigned tickets.
  • Ability to create knowledgebase articles for tasks, procedures, and incident remediation.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL practices, including IT Service Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
  • Ability to reprioritize work when new issues arise to ensure a timely response.
  • Ability to participate in projects and plan and prioritize work assignments.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting or moving up to 50 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods, sitting for extended periods, kneeling, bending, climbing stairs, and working on uneven terrain.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call weekend rotation approximately once every five to six weeks.
Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of customer issues and see problems through to resolution.
  • Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions for customer issues.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams according to standard procedures.
  • Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers.
  • Record and close all issues properly.
  • Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, scanners, and other IT-related equipment.
  • Assist with scheduled maintenance upgrades.
  • Set up customer accounts.
  • Determine the nature of computer users' problems by discussing issues with clients and users.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve computer software and hardware problems.
  • Repair equipment and replace parts.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of IT equipment.
  • Manage stocks of equipment, consumables, and other supplies.
  • Exercise independent judgment in the setup, implementation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of the IT infrastructure.
  • Travel throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex and surrounding areas as required.
  • Perform additional IT-related tasks as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
