OpenZeppelin focuses on the development and security of smart contracts, which are self-executing agreements written in code. Their tools and services assist developers in creating secure smart contracts essential for decentralized applications (dApps) on blockchain platforms like Ethereum. OpenZeppelin offers a Solidity library of reusable smart contracts, a platform called Defender for automating Ethereum operations, and security audits to identify vulnerabilities in smart contracts. Unlike competitors, OpenZeppelin combines free and premium offerings, fostering a community for developers to share knowledge and best practices. The company's goal is to enhance the security of the blockchain ecosystem and help clients mitigate risks associated with smart contract vulnerabilities.
