As the Director of Product—Innovative Care Solutions in Sleep & Respiratory, Sleep consumerization, and other healthcare verticals at ResMed, you will be pivotal in advancing technologies that significantly enhance the quality of life for patients and consumers worldwide.

Lead initiatives to explore strategic partnerships and acquisitions appropriate for ResMed’s growth and innovation goals.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with different functions within ResMed to deliver new capabilities and solutions that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Hands-on Management: Actively engage in the development process, providing hands-on guidance and support to your team to ensure the successful execution of projects.
- Problem Solving: Utilize your leadership and problem-solving skills to develop solutions that meet the needs of healthcare providers and patients, staying abreast of market trends and technological advancements.
- User Requirements: Work directly with patients, physicians, and insurance payors to understand user requirements and ensure these insights drive product development.
- Strategic Decision Making: Manage challenges and make strategic decisions in a dynamic environment to ensure the implementation of initiatives and achievement of strategic objectives.
- Team Leadership: Lead a diverse team of Product Managers and professionals, fostering collaboration and promoting a culture of exceptional patient experiences. Oversee dedicated engineers to accelerate the release of products designed by your team.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and innovation to ensure ResMed maintains its leadership position in the healthcare technology sector.
- Empathy: Drive holistic empathy for patients, healthcare providers, and teams, ensuring a deep understanding of their challenges and needs.
Let’s talk about you
- Over 8 years of software product development/management experience are necessary to qualify for this position, and experience in the healthcare technology sector is required.
- A degree in Engineering, Neuroscience, Physics, or Mathematics and 7 years experience. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science is a plus
- Having patents in your name related to healthcare technology, AI, or medical devices will be considered a strong added benefit, demonstrating a proven track record of innovation and expertise in the field.
- Proven ability to conduct in-depth research, analyzing emerging trends, technologies, and clinical data to drive innovation. Experience leading research initiatives or contributing to scientific studies, particularly in healthcare technology, is a strong asset.
- Previous experience as a Product Manager following the pathway of ideation, user interviews, designing high-fidelity prototypes, writing user stories, working with developers, and conducting user acceptance testing.
- Demonstrated success in a high-growth company, focusing on redefining patient experiences and integrating advanced technological solutions. Experience working in a start-up product company is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in data interpretation and the ability to conduct detailed data analyses.
- In-depth understanding of complex clinical workflows, driving product solutions that address immediate patient needs and align with long-term strategic goals.
- A deep commitment to understanding patient needs and translating these insights into compelling product features.
- History of successfully implementing product designs, ideas, and roadmaps with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong drive for results.
- Curiosity, boldness, self-awareness, and humility, with the ability to adapt rapidly to new information and embrace challenges.
- A strong understanding of web application development, API services, and the overall tech landscape is required to lead technical teams and stakeholders effectively.
- Previous experience as a software developer is a highly desirable qualification.
- Ability to lead and synergize efforts across product, UX, marketing, engineering teams, and strategic partners.
Location and Work Environment:
- This position is based in San Diego.
- We offer a hybrid work environment with three days in the office and two days working from home.

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
This role is eligible to receive an annual cash bonus payment based on company, business unit, and/or individual performance.
Base Pay Range for this position:
$182,000- $272,000
For remote positions located outside of the US, pay will be determined based the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
