Why this Role?
Next Street is looking for a passionate and self-motivated Account Manager to coordinate courses, alongside community partners and other stakeholders, to help businesses access curriculum that will help launch, manage, and grow their businesses. You will have the opportunity to support thousands of small businesses a year, helping them navigate business and economic challenges to become more resilient and thrive.

Your work will consist of…
Service Delivery (80%)
- Partner with the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) to deliver services to businesses while ensuring goals set by the SBS and Next Street leadership team are met
- Engage with a wide range of small businesses to understand their needs and make recommendations for the types of resources and services the city can provide to be successful
- Deliver Business Solutions courses service line by managing the course schedule, instructors, and community partnerships.
- Facilitate and present courses to provide businesses with relevant information and resources
- Design and develop learning and development workshop content and tools for small businesses
- Successfully coordinate logistics for both in-person and virtual courses, ensuring space is reserved (as needed), instructors are assigned, and clients have all relevant information to participate
- Use relationship management skills to maintain and establish long-term relationships with high potential community partners
- Recruit partnership and volunteer instructors by identifying new working opportunities, and by reviewing instructor presentations and ensuring they are aligned with SBS’ guidelines
Business Development (5%)
- Support SBS marketing efforts and drive business development to attract, cultivate, and retain clients as well as other key stakeholders
- Engage community-based organizations, community boards, Business Improvement Districts, and other stakeholders interested in helping small businesses and entrepreneurs gain access to support services
Center Management & Operations (15%)
- Manage program performance and impact data processes; perform data entry after service delivery
- Prepare program impact reports for clients, funders, and other key stakeholders
- Respond to all customer inquiries in a timely and appropriate manner with quality assurance best practices and Center standards
- Provide feedback and collaborate with team members, the Center Director, Next Street management, and SBS to provide high-quality services and achieve strategic, and organizational goals
Why you?
- You have 0 - 2 years’ experience working with entrepreneurs or small business owners
- Fluency in Spanish or Mandarin is a plus
- You are passionate about small businesses and have a drive to help them be successful

Next Street believes in an equitable and transparent compensation approach. The starting salary for Account Manager positions across the firm is $68,598- $75,705 regardless of location and commensurate with experience. You will be eligible to participate annually in Next Street’s discretionary incentive program. For new hires, Next Street targets the start of the salary band, although considerations could be made based on job knowledge, skills, and experience. As part of our Antiracism commitment, Next Street uses a pay scale approach and transparent methodology to advance staff within a compensation band based on performance.
