  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
  • 12+ years of hands-on work experience in a manufacturing semiconductor environment
  • Experience in an R&D semiconductor environment
  • Experience with twelve or more 8 or 12 semiconductor tool platforms, or deep knowledge with five or more 8 or 12 semiconductor tool platforms, such as CVD, etch, CMP, cleans, photolithography, or metrology tools
Responsibilities
  • Creates and updates documented work standards and process specifications, including specifications, blueprints, manuals, or written instructions
  • Process wafers through computerized equipment, such as chemical baths, ion implant, furnaces, film deposition, metal evaporation, and photo alignment, for their respective toolsets
  • Carefully handles and transports product
  • Visually inspects wafers and die for defects
  • Assists in staging material and setting up next shift for success
  • Provides technical guidance and support in the form of troubleshooting, diagnostics, adjustments, repair, modifications, assembly, and calibration of equipment
  • Supports engineering with timely communication on results, issues, and bottleneck management
  • Troubleshoots issues to diagnose root cause and recommend appropriate temporary and permanent solutions
  • Maintains accurate logs of work performed, modifications, calibrations, and adjustments
  • Initiate lot starts at the direction of the Lead or Supervisor
  • Train and develop junior manufacturing technicians
  • Support engineering initiatives on the fab floor, such as participating in or conducting experiments
  • Perform light equipment maintenance activities.
