About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic Data Engineering team. In this role, you will be a technical leader responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines, analytical models, and reporting systems that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will leverage your expertise to tackle complex challenges, and champion innovative solutions.

What you will be doing:

Autonomous Project Ownership: Take full ownership of end-to-end analytics engineering projects, from ideation to deployment and monitoring, demonstrating the ability to drive successful outcomes independently.
Proactive Problem Solving: Identify and resolve data-related issues, optimize processes, and continuously improve the analytics infrastructure to ensure high-quality, reliable data insights.
Data-Driven Innovation: Proactively research and propose new analytics initiatives, gathering evidence and building compelling cases to showcase their potential business value.
Technical Solution Design: Navigate ambiguous or loosely defined problems, applying structured thinking and technical expertise to design scalable, maintainable, and cost-effective solutions.
Domain Expertise: Become the go-to expert in specific analytics domains, providing guidance and mentoring to team members while proactively addressing knowledge gaps.
Business Impact: Deliver impactful analytics solutions that directly contribute to 10X’s success by driving improvements in revenue, cost savings, or operational efficiency.
Technical Mentorship: Actively mentor and coach junior team members, fostering their growth and development through knowledge sharing, code reviews, and constructive feedback.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s or equivalent education or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
5 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related role.
Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, or similar languages.
Experience in data warehousing and ETL/ELT processes.
Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, GCP).
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker).
Experience in data modeling and performance optimization techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Familiarity with machine learning and statistical modeling techniques.
Contributions to open-source projects or technical communities.

Below is the base pay range for this full time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, and experience. At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company’s total compensation package. This role is also eligible for 10x’s equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program.
