Requirements
  • Fifteen or more years of experience in information technology, cloud computing, or defense/intelligence technology leadership with direct engagement at government C-suite level (Chief Information Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Chief Data Analytics Officer).
  • Eight or more years of people management experience, including managing managers (leader of leaders).
  • Current, active United States Government security clearance of Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information with Polygraph.
  • Experience leading large technical organizations in classified environments.
  • Experience with executive engagement at government C-suite level (Chief Information Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Chief Data Analytics Officer).
  • Experience driving technical strategy for large-scale programs or portfolios valued at five hundred million US dollars or more.
  • Experience with public speaking at government or industry forums in classified settings.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as executive technical sponsor for the portfolio's most strategic programs, customers, and capture efforts
  • Develop and maintain direct, strategic relationships with customer C-suite leaders (CIOs, CTOs, CDAs, Special Advisors) at agencies and congressional oversight bodies
  • Represent AWS as a speaker at senior government and congressional forums
  • Drive measurable adoption of next-generation architectures across the national security customer base
  • Jointly own the technical win rate and pipeline with Sales leadership
  • Influence AWS product and service team roadmap priorities for classified and air-gapped environments
  • Lead a 40+ person cleared Solution Architecture organization, including senior managers and principal architects
  • Own the cleared talent strategy: identify, develop, retain, and grow the next generation of technical leaders
  • Build and sustain the cleared technical talent pipeline for technologists
  • Define and execute organizational goals and metrics aligned to $1.5B+ revenue and growth targets
  • Manage cross-functional operating rhythms with Sales, Services, Professional Services, and Partner teams
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience as a recognized thought leader in national security technology, AI/ML, or cloud modernization
  • Experience across multiple intelligence domains (Geospatial Intelligence, Human Intelligence, Signals Intelligence)

Amazon adds free cloud gaming to Fire TV via PHYND's ad-supported service

Amazon's Texas data centre set to become America's biggest polluter with 33M tons CO2 yearly

Amazon is constructing a natural gas power plant in West Texas permitted to emit up to 33 million tonnes of CO2 annually, potentially double the output of America's current dirtiest power station. The facility will exclusively serve an adjacent Amazon Web Services AI data centre. Developed by Pacifico Energy with Amazon financing, the plant features 35 gas turbines and up to 7.65 gigawatts of capacity. The permitted emission ceiling of 33 million tonnes compares with roughly 16 million tonnes from Alabama's James H. Miller Jr. coal plant, currently the nation's highest emitter.
