Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of relevant experience securing bids in the tunneling industry
- 3+ year(s) of experience engaging and negotiating with government entities
- 3+ year(s) of marketing experience
- 3+ year(s) managing a team
- Strategic thinker with innate ability to identify bottlenecks and develop solutions
- Strong persuasion and negotiation abilities
- Ability to analyze others' reactions and understand why they react as they do
- Effective communicator with exemplary presentation skills
- Natural ability to network and forge relationships
- Ability to interpret market, customer, and competitor information
- Position may require long hours and weekend work
- Travel 25-35% of the time
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with clients. Maintain a high quality customer database
- Identify active requests for proposals in the United States for tunneling projects (water, sewer, and transport) and non-tunneling projects that could become tunneling projects
- Create new revenue-generating tunnel projects for The Boring Company by persuading key stakeholders that a TBC tunnel meets their needs
- Help write, review, and submit proposals to local, state, and federal entities
- Lead company business development efforts
