What believers are saying

  • March 2026 fundraising of US$24.3 million funded the Angola strategy and working capital.
  • June 2026 results improved to US$0.3 million profit after a US$22.3 million loss.
  • September 2026 expansion doubled Angola exposure toward roughly 8,000 bpd of production-linked cashflows.

What critics are saying

  • BDO flagged material going-concern uncertainty in June 2026 despite March fundraising.
  • Cash was only US$1.2 million at December 2025 before the US$24.3 million raise.
  • The 2026 Angola closings still need regulatory approvals, delaying cash generation into H2 2026.

What makes Chariot Energy unique

  • Chariot Limited pivoted from stranded Moroccan licenses to Angola production exposure in 2026.
  • Its March 2026 structure bought economics tied to 4,000 bpd without operating fields directly.
  • Shell Western Supply and Trading financed the deal, validating Chariot’s transaction structuring.
