Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Behavioral Health or a related field is required.
  • No experience is required.
  • Applicants must hold one of the listed state-appropriate professional licenses or certifications, such as Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marital and Family Therapist, or applicable Oklahoma behavioral-health and substance-use counseling credentials.
  • Applicants must be able to perform the stated physical requirements, including frequent lifting or pushing and pulling objects weighing 0-25 pounds, occasional handling of 25-50 pounds, movement activities, keyboard use, and required hearing, speech, vision, and depth perception.
Responsibilities
  • Provide admissions and intake services to patients and potential patients.
  • Conduct interviews and behavioral health assessments for potential admissions, including telehealth assessments.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries from people seeking mental health care or information about mental health-related services.
  • Facilitate inpatient and outpatient admissions based on physician orders.
  • Coordinate transportation to another facility or referral to a lower level of care when indicated.
  • Document calls and related admission information.
  • Staff the crisis hotline as needed.
  • Review paperwork accompanying patients to ensure adherence to hospital and regulatory policies.
  • Perform insurance verification and prior authorization based on payer requirements.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
