- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Prepare market-ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping duties, and other duties needed to provide a quality move-in experience.
- Perform scheduled and requested routine interior and exterior community maintenance, including painting, snow and ice removal, gutter cleaning, filter replacement, and trash-compactor work.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on community equipment, including plumbing, light-bulb replacement, air-conditioning maintenance, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
- Respond to repair requests and maintenance concerns from residents and staff in a timely and professional manner.
- Report maintenance concerns in vacant units, models, and common areas, as well as equipment malfunctions, breakdowns, and hazardous conditions, to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Maintain resident privacy and obtain proper authority before entering resident apartments.
- Keep maintenance items in a safe area to prevent injuries to residents, associates, and visitors.
- Deliver superior customer service and represent the company professionally.
- Attend assigned in-service training and education sessions.
- Work with vendors as instructed, including landscaping and asphalt-painting vendors.
- Follow state, local, and federal fair-housing laws and all safety and Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements.
- Three or more years of prior maintenance experience.
- Heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning, Environmental Protection Agency, and/or Certified Pool Operator certifications are preferred.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required depending on property needs.
