Jump is looking to add a talented Software Engineer to our growing quantitative sports trading team. The individual in this role will collaborate extensively with quantitative analysts and technologists to evolve, improve, and maintain the sports betting platform. The ideal candidate will be passionate about development and able to solve difficult technical problems in a fast-paced and energetic environment. In this role, a candidate can expect exposure to a wide range of interesting and challenging problems. Other duties as assigned or required.

The trading team sees technology as a key component of their continued success and candidates will be exposed to cool cutting edge technologies.

Skills you’ll need:

• At least 2+ years of programming experience in Python
• Experience working on a Linux platform
• Comfortable on the command line
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-directed and comfortable taking ownership of projects and responsibilities
• Comfortable getting involved in DevOps
• Knowledge of common database technologies
• Minimum academic qualification bachelor’s degree in computer science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent
• A passion for sports and interest in sports betting
• Reliable and predictable availability

Bonus Points:

• Experience working with large datasets
• Experience with any of C++, MySQL, ClickHouse, Splunk, Grafana, Shiny
