Network Engineer
Key Role:
Serve as a member of the Network Operations and Engineering team focusing on F5 administration, support, and configuration. Possess a strong understanding of network infrastructure and hardware. Implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices including WAPs, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers. Possess a deep knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols. Design and deploy functional networks, such as LAN, WLAN, and WAN. Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices. Monitor network performance and integrity. Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure. Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness. Mentor team members on technical issues. Create, oversee and test security measures, including access authentication and disaster recovery. Communicate with users when needed. Maintain complete technical documentation. Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability
Basic Qualifications:
Experience as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator
Experience in network administration and architecture
Experience with access control models and network security
Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools, such as SolarWinds network tools
Knowledge of communication protocols, mainly TCP/IP and routing protocols, such as BGP or OSPF
Knowledge of network operating systems, such as JUNOS or Cisco IOS
Ability to mentor, troubleshoot, organize, and work independently
TS/SCI clearance
HS diploma or GED
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
