Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Growth Strategy Team is focused on identifying and driving new revenue opportunities, advancing cross-functional initiatives, and serving as strategic advisors to marketing and commercial leadership. Our goal is to enhance organizational agility, support customer-centric decisions, and impact the growth trajectory of SIE. The Growth Strategy team is part of the broader Strategy group, which also includes Customer Lifetime Value, Executive Program Management, and Consumer Insights.

Actively support both short-term and long-term projects led by the Growth Strategy team.

Evaluate new business models and recommend strategies to optimize existing business opportunities.

Support strategic initiatives with data-driven analysis and structured decision-making frameworks.

Generate, synthesize, and analyze research reports to inform mid- and long-term strategies.

Conduct research on the gaming industry, consumer behavior, and economic trends, including competitive analysis.

Analyze large business intelligence datasets to uncover key insights that drive business objectives.

Create ad-hoc internal analyses and PowerPoint presentations, focusing on clarity, relevance, and narrative flow.

Bring a growth mindset to all projects, challenging the status quo and seeking innovative solutions.

Currently pursuing an MBA degree from an accredited university, with an expected graduation date by Spring 2026.

Knowledge of the video game industry.

Experience in conducting research and data analysis to develop business strategies and plans.

Strong interpersonal skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

A strong work ethic and ability to meet fixed deadlines.

Proactive and self-motivated, capable of pitching and managing relevant projects with minimal supervision.

Expert proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.

Functional proficiency with database-driven analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, R, PowerBI, MicroStrategy)

Prior work experience in strategic planning or professional services

Experience in customer journey analysis and customer lifetime value analysis

Knowledge of technologies and trends video games, cloud computing, and networking technologies and trends

Able to work at minimum 2-3 days a week from our San Mateo, CA office during one of the following periods: May 19th - August 8th or June 17th - September 5th.

Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.

Open to students who are U.S. citizens or international students with an F-1 visa.

Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.
