Senior Account Manager

Essential Functions:
1. Serve as the main point of contact for clients regarding coverage questions, policy reviews, and service needs.
2. Lead and manage the entire renewal process, from strategy development to final binding.
3. Recommend appropriate insurance products and services to meet client needs.
4. Analyze and compare carrier quotes and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
5. Prepare and present clear, professional renewal proposals and coverage comparisons.
6. Review and approve work by associate team members, providing oversight on certificates, endorsements, audits, invoicing, and policy checking.
7. Maintain strong relationships with carriers and underwriters to support placement strategies.
8. Assist clients with claims activity and questions in coordination with claims teams.
9. Collaborate with professional liability account executives to ensure holistic service delivery.
10. Support business development efforts through preparation of sales materials and client presentations.
11. Provide backup support to team members during absences and assist with other duties as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Experience: 7–10 years of P&C insurance experience preferred, especially in excess & surplus lines.

• Skills:
o Strong negotiation and analytical abilities
o Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
o Excellent communication and client-facing skills
o High emotional intelligence and self-awareness
o Proven team leadership and mentoring capabilities
o Strong Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel
• Education & Licensing:
o Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
o Active Property & Casualty license required
o Professional designations (e.g., CIC, CPCU) preferred

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

$75,000 - $85,000/year

• Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
