Requirements
  • Penultimate year Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree candidates graduating Summer 2026 with strong academic performance (minimum 2:1); while a STEM course of study may be helpful, we welcome applications from all courses
  • Completion of a research apprenticeship, or research seminar program is highly desired
  • Experience with, or keen interest in, the energy industry
  • Curious and analytical thinkers who bring creative approaches to non-standard problems
  • Effective written and oral communication skills with peers, senior staff and clients
  • Eagerness to learn quickly, apply prior knowledge to current situations, and effectively communicate complex ideas and recommendations

Responsibilities
  • Review and summarise analyst reports, client documents, and industry trade press
  • Assist in the production and development of research summaries, expert reports, and the presentation of findings
  • Analyse economic and financial data using spreadsheets and statistical programs
  • Conduct industry, market structure, and competitor-positioning studies
  • Perform a range of quantitative consulting tasks, such as running electric power system models, database management, and forecasting
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of analyses
