Requirements
  • The candidate must be at least 18 years of age.
  • The candidate must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • The candidate must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • The candidate must have entry-level experience in quality and food safety or a related field.
  • The candidate must be able to work in hot or cold environments for extended periods.
  • The candidate must be able to stand for extended periods.
Responsibilities
  • Implement and adhere to HACCP and food safety programs, procedures, and activities in a ready-to-eat manufacturing facility.
  • Monitor all stages of the production process for compliance with company and regulatory standards and to ensure product safety.
  • Monitor compliance with sanitation and good manufacturing practices.
  • Perform critical control point checks, including cooking and cooling product temperatures.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation.
  • Perform accuracy checks on thermometers and weight scales.
  • Place out-of-specification product on quality hold when necessary.
  • Stop the production line and/or place product on quality hold when there is a food safety concern.
  • Complete training and comply with required food safety programs, standard operating procedures, and good manufacturing practices for the department.

  • Food safety and/or quality assurance experience.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills.
