Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant coursework in supply chain, business, or logistics preferred.
  • 2+ years in a VAR, IT reseller, or similar distribution-based business model.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping processes and carrier systems (e.g., FedEx, UPS, freight).
  • Experience managing drop-ship and direct-to-customer logistics.
  • Ability to work with vendors to resolve delivery issues and expedite shipments.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
  • Proficient in ERP or order management software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks Enterprise).
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent orders.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and track all material orders from placement through delivery to ensure on-time fulfillment of customer shipments.
  • Monitor supplier lead times and proactively expedite critical orders; follow up regularly with vendors to meet project deadlines and resolve any delays.
  • Obtain and archive proof of delivery documents from carriers or vendors for every shipment; ensure accuracy and availability for internal records and customer inquiries.
  • Serve as a liaison between suppliers and internal teams to confirm order acknowledgments, delivery dates, tracking numbers, and any exceptions.
  • Coordinate drop-shipments from multiple vendors directly to customers, ensuring proper documentation, labeling, and shipping method compliance.
  • Accurately enter and maintain order data in ERP or order management systems; track fulfillment status and update stakeholders as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve delivery discrepancies, shipping errors, or damaged/missing items with vendors and carriers.
  • Work closely with purchasing, sales, project management, and customer service teams to provide real-time updates and ensure customer satisfaction. This includes performing purchasing/buying as back up when needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with IT hardware and vendor ecosystems (e.g., Dell, Cisco, HP).
  • Experience with enterprise fulfillment, multi-vendor coordination, or third-party logistics (3PL) models.
  • Understanding of POD processes and documentation standards.
