If you are looking to expand business partnering skills, develop influencing capabilities, and lead high-visibility projects, come the Neuromodulation Finance team! As the Neuromodulation Marketing Finance Consultant, you will be on the front lines of a Medtronic Operating Unit (OU) as the strategic finance partner to the Marketing leadership team. This role is responsible for helping Marketing leadership manage over $50M in spend by ensuring it is accurately reported, appropriately optimized, and accurately forecasted.
You will also play a role in marketing support for the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process where you will help influence decisions, provide analytics and ensure optimal communication flow for Portfolio Management Review (PMR) and Global Demand Review (GDR).
Additionally, you will support the upstream marketing team in market and market share analysis and research. This position reports to the Neuromodulation Sr Finance Director.
A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Prepares reports of findings and recommendations, compiles and consolidates financial plans and provides insights to management. May include activities related to expense performance, margin reporting, analysis of data and management reports, management report generation, risks and opportunities, ad hoc analysis, etc.
Lead the monthly financial process across the Neuromodulation Marketing team and support full P&L consolidation
Attend and support required IBP meetings and facilitate strategic discussions on key decisions/gaps in the portfolio
Provide recommendations and influence the future direction and evolution of tools and process optimization opportunities with IBP.
Communicate effectively, delivering clear presentations including effectively influencing up, down and across the organization to implement enterprise goals and initiatives.
Partner with marketing and business development to evaluate in-organic investment opportunities (M&A). Perform scenario analysis to evaluate how to maximize key financial metric performance using organic and in-organic investment levers.
Lead and evaluate analysis to draw conclusions and develop insightful recommendations and solutions; design deliverable content for executive level presentations.
Lead or support key ad-hoc projects, including key financial lead on multi-function projects that require a high level of financial and business acumen.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting
or Advanced Degree with 8+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting
Nice to Have
BA or MBA in relevant areas
Solid accounting/finance knowledge
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to identify key trends and drivers and the proven experience translating financial data into meaningful, concise information
Strong consultative skills and ability to articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insights to business leaders and internal customers
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Experience with Hyperion, CMR and SAP, Anaplan
Medical device or healthcare industry experience
Strong attention to detail
Strong leadership skills
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with interests in building strong business partnering relationships
Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
Proven ability to interface in a global team environment with various levels of management, staff, and other functional areas
Ability to perform under pressure and in a very dynamic environment

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$127,200.00 - $190,800.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
