Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management or Analytics required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Prior supervisory, team lead, or project leader experience in data management, data analytics and/or Data Science.
  • 5 years hands on experience building business intelligence and advanced analytics solutions.
  • 5 years experience using R, Python or other advanced analytics languages.
  • 2 years experience with machine learning and AI models using tools like sage maker, tensor flow or similar.
  • 5 year of experience using AWS or Azure data science technologies like Athena, Glue. Quick Sights, Power BI, Data Factory, Kinesis, Sage maker, or similar.
  • 5 years equivalent experience in modeling, forecasting, data architecture (Analytics/Business Intelligence preferred).
  • Ability to take ambiguous sets of data and decipher meaning to tell a story or business case that drives business decisions is required.
  • Strong ability to communicate both written and verbally to internal and external clients is important.
  • Strong ability to create and deliver effective presentations to multiple audiences is key.
  • Advanced expertise using data analytic software such as R, Python, SQL is essential.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft productivity tools: Excel, Word, and Visio and other software is necessary.
  • Willingness and ability to work in a collaborative environment is important.
Responsibilities
  • Organizational leader who transforms data into valuable business intelligence and insights, utilizing effective strategies and implementing analytics solutions.
  • Responsible for developing and guiding an engaged team of business intelligence analyst and data scientists, who own end-to-end data collection to actionable insights.
  • Collaboratively works with business leaders/stakeholders in Sales, Product Management, Business Unit, Finance, Engineering, and adjacent analytics groups to advance initiatives or projects.
  • Plans and manages the activities of a team of data scientists, statisticians and data science programmers that produce models for use in operational systems.
  • Key leader in advancing the vision and capabilities for delivering data science models to support core business goals and growth opportunities.
  • Ensure necessary data architecture and software tools are available, enabling actionable, insightful, and impactful reporting, dashboarding, statistical analyses, and the like.
  • Understands and can facilitate development of reporting dashboards in a variety of platforms such as Tableau, Power BI and Quick Sights.
  • Drive business analytics and capabilities; answering key business questions using innovative analytic and data science techniques.
  • Designs, develops, and implements a broad array of business analytics that solve complex problems.
  • Identifies new opportunities to further leverage analytics, data, and analytical tools such as AWS Athena, Glue, Kinesis, Sage Maker, or similar.
  • Proactively manages static BI reporting, ad hoc analytics and advanced analytics requests, ensuring consistent quality and timeliness in delivery to business stakeholders.
  • Drive education and evangelization of data sciences throughout the business.
  • Monitor trends in key business KPIs, providing valuable insights to relevant departments for overall business performance improvement.
  • Create visual stories and business cases from data that helps leadership make quick and effective decisions.
  • Build out predictive modeling using R and Python that harnesses customer and competitive analysis data to spot emerging trends and areas of opportunity.
  • Partner with business process experts and owners to build BI and leading indicators of operational benchmarks.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of SQL and NO-SQL skills to process data.
  • Mentor, lead, and grow a team of data scientists, data analysts and data engineers who inform strategy, investment, and design and build solutions for Advanced Analytics, machine learning, AI, and journey analytics, orchestration, and personalization.
  • Work with product management, product development, operations, customer support, and other internal stakeholders to define requirements, guide product and architectural vision, and prioritize efforts.
  • Manage the day-to-day insights that the business relies on, including both analyses to identify trends and evaluate marketing (channel, media, offer, product/package, events) performance, AND data mining to inform audience and individual-level insights and treatment.
  • Partner closely with cloud services team to communicate analytical capabilities and identify leverage points to all levels of the organization within and outside the organization.
  • Leads coordination efforts and activities to achieve improvements in processes, projects, and goals.
  • Responsible for creating and implementing PAC analytics and data science strategic roadmap in alignment with company strategy.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certifications in Data Science or Machine Learning preferred.
