Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Six years of interaction design experience in product design or user experience design.
  • Experience designing technical enterprise cloud applications.
  • Experience leveraging generative artificial intelligence tools and workflows for prototyping and interface exploration.
  • A portfolio, website, or other relevant link to work must be included in the resume.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the user experience idea and design strategy for complex, ambiguous artificial intelligence and compute infrastructure domains to align with long-term business objectives.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to design useful, consistent, and scalable agent-native cloud products.
  • Communicate user experiences at various stages of the design process using high-level storyboards, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
  • Influence and contribute to the evolution of global design systems to ensure their utility for applications.
  • Mentor and guide junior user experience designers by providing constructive design feedback, fostering professional development, and advancing craft excellence.
  • Apply user-centered design methods to craft user experiences from concept to execution.
  • Collaborate with design partners to evolve the Google design language.
  • Drive design strategy and user-experience direction for critical infrastructure platforms, including Google Kubernetes Engine and Google Compute Engine.
  • Design intuitive and scalable enterprise solutions in complex and ambiguous spaces.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders and lead user-experience excellence for next-generation artificial intelligence infrastructure.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
  • Two years of experience leading design projects.
