Purpose:

The Broadcast Engineer Student Assistant will contribute in ensuring the technical success of the broadcasts and videoboard shows during Texas Athletic events, in addition to assisting with other duties on non-event days.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the setup of broadcast equipment such as, but not limited to, cameras, monitors, and audio equipment for Texas Athletics Videoboard shows and ESPN Broadcasts.
• Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of equipment during non-event days.
• Game and event tasks include but are not limited to serving as an Audio Engineer, Video Engineer, and Field Engineer.
• General office duties include but are not limited to: transporting, testing and setting up broadcast equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Report knowledge of, or reasonable cause to believe, violation(s) of state or federal laws, policies, rules, or regulations of the University, Conference, or NCAA to IA ARMCS or IA HR. Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete and accurate information when requested to do so by Texas Athletics and/or the NCAA and do not influence others in any way during an investigation. In compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and Texas Education Code Sec. 51.252, this position may be a Non-Confidential Employee as defined by University policies on Sex Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, Sexual Assault, Interpersonal Violence and Stalking. Preferred Qualifications:

• Interest in hand on trouble shooting
• Operating audiovisual equipment (AV) such as cameras, audio mixers and related equipment.

Salary Range:

• $10/hour
