  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field of study. A U.S or foreign 4-year bachelor's degree determined equivalent to the required degree is acceptable
  • 3 years of experience in digital modeling
Responsibilities
  • Manage the creation of digital surfacing, based on a 2D design intent, to suit engineering/product performance requirements in 3D.
  • Materialize design to manufacturing processes into 3D CAD format.
  • Responsible for the release of complete set of product 3D data ('A' and 'B' surfacing) towards manufacturing.
  • Create high quality level 3D data using rapid digital modeling tools from 2D sketch to support early styling activities.
  • Create high quality level 3D data using nurbs from scan or sketch information.
  • Create high quality level 3D data incorporating feasibility directions, milling or production requirements.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other designers to effectively evolve and refine output.
  • Contribute 2D and/or 3D design sketches and sketch models for small parts and overall design proposals.
  • Perform other related duties to propel the project, studio, department and group forward as assigned or requested.
  • Coordinate with management to clarify and direct development of digital modeling aspects of the design process.
